# GCSE Mathematics

## Edexcel GCSE in Mathematics – 1MAO

The GCSE Mathematics is particularly useful as it is a key requirement for many jobs. If you’re looking to get into college or university they’ll prove essential, and passes in English, Science and Mathematics usually at Grade C are also required for an increasingly large number of jobs. It is ideally suited to those who want to do teacher training (PGCE).

A Maths GCSE shows you have an understanding of numbers and the ability to work with them. Many people find numbers intimidating, but this course will guide you through the subject in easy steps, building both your understanding and your confidence.

Through studying maths you will learn that it is about more than numbers: it’s about thinking logically and being able to apply the principles you learn to everyday situations.

Mathematics is externally assessed and is available in June and November.
